On PJ's only free day during our entire Singapore trip, we went out for a lunch date. Although severely underdressed for swanky fine dining, we headed over to the Hilton on Orchard Road for our noontime reservation at Iggy's.
Iggy's has been consistent at the top of The Miele Guide, and this year, is ranked 27th on S Pellegrino World's Best Restaurants list. It's not really a conscious effort, but so far, we have dined in 3 out of 5 restos on Asia's top5 this year!
Hallway leading to the dining room; View of the semi-open kitchen (which is sometimes sealed by automatic doors).
Iggy's is popular for their creative meals and for utilizing molecular gastronomy in their dishes.
Bread on the side: Foccacia with tomato chunks
Potato (yes, that's a potato) with sweet potato puree, okra and spring veggies. Ah, and edible flowers that taste like cilantro. I want to grow edible flowers in my garden.
Lastly, for dessert, Brioche french toast with teh tarik ice cream and coffee foam!I'm not exactly a coffee fan, so PJ wiped my dish off.
