I'm not exactly a fan of celebrating monthsaries (Pinoy ang nag-imbento ng term na 'to for sure, because it's underlined red by the spellchecker, haha). My (now dead) wedding blog was called I Think I Can Handle The Cheese. I used to cringe at the word 'forever'. Or maybe just at the idea of how recklessly "I love you forever" was thrown around in lovesick adolescence. I never thought I could handle the cheese. But now, one year married, here I am.
I believe a great year of official cheesiness in my life is something worth celebrating. So three days before our first year anniversary, PJ & I booked our flights and accommodations for a weekend getaway. And of course, it is also reason enough for another craft activity, one that I have decided to do every year, as a tradition.
In western cultures, paper is traditionally given as a first year anniversary present. Armed with just a pair of scissors and a sheet of white paper, I cut up letters and photographed them under the beautiful morning sun.
