Weekend Foodie Finds

Before her class, I had lunch with Patty at one of our favorite restaurants, Ninyo. She ordered the fish & chips while I had a special tomato-based vegetarian pasta made for me.
We also shared this Shiitake Confit Salad and had Strawberry Panna Cotta for dessert! Thank you, Chef Nino Laus! ;)
Next day, our family had dinner at Lugang Cafe for my cousin Noelle's birthday.I was extremely pleased with these dumplings! Dipped them in vinegar with ginger.
This dish was soooo flavorful that I just had to order a cup of rice to go with it.
For dessert, we all shared this labada-looking plate of shaved ice cream.
It was good, but I think plating can be improved, haha.

We spent Saturday in Subic because PJ had work there. Spotted a double rainbow and mountains that looked like they were covered in snow. It was such a pleasant drive and I was happy to escape the craziness of Manila even for a bit.
Went to Royal Subic to do some grocery shopping. You'd be surprised to know that they have a lot of organic and vegetarian food products scattered all around the supermarket section. Just look closely and read the labels. ;)
Like these baking supplies, for example.
Organic Heinz Ketchup, Vegan Salad Dressing, Organic Peanut Butter......and this vegetarian curry sauce that is posing as "Butter Chicken"!

I also got some rice and wheat noodles.
And today, I made myself some Japanese breakfast:I just added sesame dressing and ginger-infused oil. Paired it with fresh tofu and seaweed!
