It Rained on my Midweek Holiday

...karma!!!

This is what I get for leaving Manila (and my deadlines) on a Wednesday:
work that followed me on my first day there + rain every single day.

Hello, Boracay!
Nothing beats having the beach all to ourselves. (Photo by Ate Ria)

I heart the lean beach season.
(OK so I cheated. This particular photo is from 2 years ago. No sunsets for us on this trip--too cloudy!)

Dorky Sand Art: A Tribute to my current favorite font, Minion Pro.

My Kinda Place: Real Coffee.

They cook your food in front of you.

A cup of hot Ginger Tea for immunity. Heeee-ya!!!

Calamansi Muffins

Day 2: Textured cement art at Lemon Cafe.
Squash risotto with balsamic vegetables.

Flew back to Manila yesterday, picked up my new prescription granny glasses from my optical in Galleria. I am loving the comfort of the huge frames that give me a much larger un-blurred peripheral vision!

Took home some bahn mi's for me and ze H
from my favorite Vietnamese resto in the metro, Pho Bac.
This is the vegan bahn mi.
Why don't they have more branches???

Today, we had a farewell lunch for my cousins at Ninyo.
This is specially made vegan tomato-based pasta with veggies. No butter, no cheese. Thankyouverymuch!

And then I went Flour Shopping this afternoon. Will make gluten-free cupcakes and seitan next week.

Now about to pop in a dvd as we roll into the stormy long weekend.
Stay safe and dry, friends!
